Bachata Zouk Royals 2026 in Freiburg – Dance Festival

Bachata and Brazilian Zouk share the program at the fifth edition of Bachata Zouk Royals. From Friday, 11 December, to Sunday, 13 December 2026, Ballhaus Freiburg will host more than 30 hours of workshops, Jack-and-Jill competitions and three themed parties. The weekend is aimed both at dancers looking for instruction in both styles and at guests who mainly want to dance at the parties.

Workshops and Competitions

The Bachata workshops cover Sensual, Traditional and Fusion. Brazilian Zouk classes are offered at various levels. Anyone who wants to explore either dance in greater depth will find a range of workshops throughout the festival weekend, rather than just a single session. The Full Pass includes all regular workshops and social dances during the weekend.

Jack-and-Jill competitions are planned for both Bachata and Brazilian Zouk. Entry is not included in the Full Pass and is sold separately. The same applies to premium masterclasses. Dancers who want to enter a competition or attend a masterclass in addition to the regular workshops will therefore need a separate ticket for these activities.

Themed Parties and Tickets

Three themed parties will take place across two dance floors. Those mainly interested in dancing at the parties can choose a Party Pass: it costs 75 Euro for both leaders and followers. The “Fullpass Follower – Summer Sale” costs 145 Euro and, as a Full Pass, provides access to the weekend’s regular workshops and social dances. Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred.

Ballhaus Freiburg and Getting There

The venue is Ballhaus Freiburg at Leo-Wohleb-Straße 1. Tram line 1 stops directly outside Ballhaus Freiburg, providing a direct connection to the venue. The festival begins on Friday at 18 Uhr and ends on Sunday at 23:59 Uhr, covering Friday evening as well as Saturday and Sunday.
