OSVALDO Tango Marathon Vienna 2027: 33 Hours of Tango and Milongas in Vienna

OSVALDO Tango Marathon Vienna 2027 in Vienna

33 hours of tango and no more than 200 dancers: the OSVALDO Tango Marathon Vienna 2027 is for people who want to spend most of a weekend on the dance floor. The marathon begins with a pre-party milonga on Thursday at Galeria Ideal. From Friday to Sunday, the dancing moves to Casino Baumgarten.

Milongas at Two Venues

The pre-party is included in the marathon pass and takes place at a different venue from the milongas over the following weekend. Anyone wishing to join in on Thursday should therefore plan to go to Galeria Ideal first. From Friday to Sunday, the meeting point is Casino Baumgarten at Linzerstraße 297 in Vienna’s 14th district. The marathon is organized by Tango Pop Up.

Casino Baumgarten has a hall with around 300 square meters of wooden dance floor. The venue also has a terrace and a conservatory. For a weekend built around 33 hours of dancing, these other areas of the building provide space beyond the dance floor. The limit of 200 dancers is an important consideration for anyone deciding whether this marathon format is right for them.

Pass, Food and Drink, and Registration

The regular marathon pass costs 160 Euro, and a discounted pass costs 120 Euro. Both include Thursday’s pre-party and all milongas from Friday to Sunday. Snacks, finger food, fruit, juice, and water are also included. The pass thus covers both the opening event and the weekend’s dancing; the listed food and drinks are available on site.

Registration opens on 1 October 2026 at 00:00. For those interested, the limit of 200 dancers is especially relevant alongside the opening time. The OSVALDO Tango Marathon Vienna 2027 is designed for a limited group dancing tango together over several days.
