Swing Me to the Moon 2027 in Aix-en-Provence

Swing Me to the Moon 2027 brings together a weekend of swing classes and three parties. The Battle Équinoxe is on the program for Saturday. The Shirt Tail Stompers will play live at the Friday and Saturday parties; Sunday ends with a DJ set and a pizza party. The festival takes place from January 22 to 24 at Salon Europia in Aix-en-Provence and is aimed at people who want to spend time on the dance floor as well as take classes.

Classes, instructors, and battle

Hugo and Natacha organize the festival together with Rock’Caliente and are also among the instructors. Classes are also taught by Tyedric and Kanini, Elena and Ruben, Audrey and Romain, and Valentina and Vasu. Saturday’s classes are scheduled from 10:30 to 17:30, and Sunday’s from 11:30 to 17:30. The longer teaching blocks thus fall on both weekend days, leaving the evenings for the rest of the festival program.

Friday begins with pass collection from 19:30 to 20:00. A Shag taster class follows until 21:00. Anyone who wants to try Shag can do so right at the start, before the first party begins. On Saturday, the Battle Équinoxe takes place between the classes and the evening party: the competition is scheduled from 19:30 to 21:00 and forms a separate part of the evening program.

Three parties and a cultural event

The Moonrise Party runs on Friday from 21:00 to 03:00, and the Eclipse Party on Saturday at the same hours. The Shirt Tail Stompers will play live on both evenings. After Sunday’s classes, a cultural event takes place from 17:30 to 18:30. The Sunset Party then begins at 18:30 with a DJ set and a pizza party, running until 00:00. Each festival day therefore offers an evening program alongside its classes or opening taster class, while Sunday closes with a different musical format from the two live-band evenings.

Venue and getting there

The venue is Salon Europia at Avenue Robert Schuman 46 in Aix-en-Provence. For those arriving at the TGV station, a shuttle goes to Aix bus station. From there, bus line A runs to the Schuman stop.
